Every year, holiday collections tend to look the same—snowflakes, metallics, a red-and-green moment. Cute, but not very 1983.
So when it came time to design this year’s holiday labels, we started with a simple idea:
What if we brought old Christmas photos back to life… but in a completely new way?
That idea sparked a conversation, the conversation sparked a concept, and the concept turned into the label design you’re seeing now.
The result feels nostalgic, grown-up, and a little unexpected in the best way.
It’s not the typical holiday look—and that’s exactly why we’re obsessed with it.
There’s something about old photos that carries their own kind of holiday magic. You can almost smell the tinsel boxes, the ornaments, the wrapping paper, the candles your mom only lit in December.
And somehow, these labels capture that feeling without being literal.
With that in mind, here are the three scents that brought the whole design to life:
TINSEL
Spruce Needles · Amber Dust · Velvet Wood · Winter Spark
Sparkly, bright, and full of that “digging through the ornament box” energy. This one leans into the shine and shimmer of the season—but without the mess. Think: soft glow, nostalgia, a little flair.
CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS IN THE ATTIC
Spiced Wood · Evergreen Air · Worn Cedar · Hidden Cheer
Warm, cozy, and a bit sentimental. Inspired by the smell of the boxes you only open once a year—filled with cinnamon peel, old ribbons, memories, and everything that says it’s finally the season.
MIDNIGHT MANTEL
Whiskey · Burnt Sugar · Polished Wood · Late Glow
This one is personal.
There’s a scent memory here I can’t quite place—and neither could my mom when she smelled it. It’s strong, familiar, and impossible to pin down… like a mix of candles, scented ornaments, and the everything-all-at-once aroma that happens when the holiday box gets opened for the first time.
Whatever it is, it’s the Christmas smell for me.
These scents, paired with the new label design, became our way of capturing a holiday mood that feels warm, nostalgic, a little imperfect, and completely ours.
